NaNoWriMo
I failed, miserably, I have learnt from my mistakes however and will put those lessons to use this year. I'm publishing the story at FictionPress.com however and will continue to write it.

NaNoWriMo Day 1
It is now 3.15am on the first of November, the first day of NaNoWriMo and I have achieved 1048 words already, it came as a small shock when I checked the word count and realised I had broken half of my minimum target of 2000 already, even more difficult when you realise that I was only halfway through the first chapter.
Here goes for 30 days of torment.

NaNoWriMo and other things
So NaNoWriMo is around the corner, just over two weeks until the amatur writing event of the year, and I'm entering.
This isn't the first time I've enter NaNoWriMo, I also entered last year but due to circumstances outside of my writing I was only able to write the first day, and by the time I was able to continue the work there was only a week left.
Am I confident about my chances this year, not really, I know I can achieve it and I know I can do it well, but with my working schedual I don't know if I can find time to achieve the goal of 50,000 words.
But I've given myself a promise and a challenge for this year, if I can achieve the 50,000 word target, I'll send it to a publisher to attempt to get it published.
Wish me luck.

Spore and Peace
I assume that all of you have heard of the phenomena that is Spore, if not, where have you been for the past three months?
It's spawned up pretty quickly, a search for "spore fansite" on Google turned up 26,900 and it is predicted to sell, 2million copies in the US alone by October making it one of EAs fastest selling games.
But one particular group are not happy about Spore, Christians all over the world are up in arms over Spore's "teachings" of evolution, and of the religious overtones in the civilization and space phases.
Now if you asked me to sum myself up in one word I'd say tolerant, provided that you didn't attempt to force your views on myself I'd tolerate and even make an effort to learn your views in my own time. The one thing I'm not tolerant of, intolerance.
Now this may sound ironic or even funny, but I am serious, I can tolerate anything, provided they aren't intolerant about my or other peoples believe. Now if someone can provide a valid arguement against someones believe that's one thing, but when they chose to focus on the bad and don't even look at the rest, that's a different kettle of fish altogether.
I have very few views on organised religion, I accept that it is nessecary to provide believe and can be used to provide answers to unanswerable questions, hell, I even set up a religion in Human Justice (currently only on the CoH EU boards.). But the arguements against Spore as a whole are utterly ridiculous, I mean how is ONE computer game going to overturn a religion that has supposedly existed for over 2000 years?
That's all for now, I'll say more later.

Power Rangers Ninja Spirit Tech notes 1 - Elemental Crystals
In my fanfiction Power Rangers Ninja Spirit, Talisha possesses the Elemental Crystals, although she's reluctant to talk about how they work it's clear that they form the source of her power. She uses them for everything from blasting fireballs at her enemies to Morphing. But exactly how do they work?
At six specific points on Earth, six giant versions of the crystals sit protected by their own powers and placed by the Grand High Elementals, the gods who gave the Spirit Ninjas their powers. When Talisha draws on a crystals power it taps into the limitless resources granted by these giant crystals.
Out of the four known crystals, only the Earth Crystal is placed near the temple where Eric and Wes found Talisha, directly under it in fact.
The Fire crystal is placed within the lava of Mount St Helens.
The Water Crystal is placed at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.
And the Wind Crystal is placed in the skys over The Outer Hebrides.
There is also supposidly a Dark and Light Crystal but no Spirit Ninja ever knew of their locations.
Talisha then focuses the energies sent by the giant crystals and uses it to complete her aim whether it is to directly control the element or even to protect herself from said element.
Still, any more right now would be spoilers, seeya.
